I Got A Kickin' Cool Chair...Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey!!

Being married for 28 years, I know a thing or two, or maybe 100 about married dudes.
Take mine for instance...when I talk about cameras, photography, macro lenses, the latest gossip, my freaky love of ugly chairs and whiny comments about why can't we take cool vacations like normal people...his eyes glaze oever and although he may be looking at me...he sure ain't listenin' to me.

I know the look..because sometimes when he starts talking about so and so's car, homemade mac and cheese, Paula Dean and smoked turkey's...I sometimes find myself "Uh-Huh-ing" him too, as I'm mentally thinking of pretty close up's of tropical flowers taken with a macro lens that I don't own but I do dream about nightly.

About three days ago I happened to pass by a yard sale and quickly glanced upon the most beautiful chair I had ever seen.
Since I was on my way to karate class with the two boys, running late as usual, and knew I didn't have a dollar in my pocket, I didn't even stop and get my hopes up of being the new owner of that chair.

Two days ago, in an attempt to make conversation while we drove Bear to Orlando, I may have mentioned it to Karl....as we drove down the turnpike and due to Yahoo's not so very accurate directions, got off at the wrong exit, and ended up in mass construstion heading towards Daytona.
I actually thought he wasn't even listening because he was so darn busy blurting out some not so nice things about Yahoo's crappy maps.
It wasn't pretty.

Yesterday he took off to get some milk, juice and other assorted groceries, 30 minutes later he pulled in the driveway and beeped our wimpy family mini van horn..which sounds exactly like "The Road Runner"..no joke.

Anywhos...Kody goes running out thinking he maybe needs some man help getting the groceries in and that's when Kody says "Mom...Daddy really needs your help".

So...I roll my eyes, get off photoshop from washing a mountain of dishes and head outside to where I found one smiling 12 year old and one very proud older married guy pulling this out of the back of our family mini van a/k/a "The Green Machine"...

And I have to give credit where credit is due..

That chair had a $25.00 price tag on it...and he walked away with it for $5.00!!!!!

Don't ya just love a bargain!!

And just when you think they don't listen. :0)

OK...gotta run, the young uns are here and they are wanting 100% of my undivided attention right now.

Have a great day everyone..I'll try to get back on later.

Love, Kim

Dear K. Family,
Mrs. K, that chair sounds like a perfect setting for some Adri pictures! I am glad to hear you all are closer to an answer about Kody's speech issues. I'm praying for you. Love, blessings, and tons of hugs,
Tanya Nicole

I'm a regular reader of your blog and have been following Kody's story for quiet some time. Anyway, this isn't really a comment but it was the only way I could find to contact you. I'm pretty sure before you've mentioned that the kids are on FL KidCare. I was just wondering how you like it and if you've ever had any problems with it or them not covering things? Does it also include dental care? Any info you could give me is greatly appreciated. And I was wrong you don't use kidcare, then I'm a big doofus and ignore me!
