We've Got Naners!

There's one very good thing that's come out of all this rain we've been having here in Florida...

Our banana trees have been crankin' out bananas like mad. :0)

Now, if we could just figure out how to keep them there until they ripen before the squirrels get them, that would be something.

Have a great day everyone!!

Love, Kim

Cut the bunch off and keep in a dark place. We have some in our closet right now waiting to get ripe. They taste awesome dipped in melted chocolate.

all our fruit has come and gone already (we have grapes and crab apples in our yard)
do you usually get alot of bananas? we get more grapes than we know what to do with, and maybe 5 crab apples in a good year lol

Cyan (sp?) Pepper. Sprinkle it on the bananas and the squirrels won't touch 'em! It doesn't hurt them because they won't eat them. The smell bothers their nose and they steer clear. We sprinkle it on our tomatoes to keep them off.
