Settling Back In

Things are going great and Kody Bear's been settling back into a new routine, which includes...feeling better, feeling pinchy, doing a little too much and then crashing and burning.
That boy is keeping on my toes but seriously though, I am making sure despite a few errand running trips in the AM, he is getting lots to eat and drink, of rest and a good amount of sleep so that his body can heal.

His new shunt is something he needs to get used to. If he gets up too fast or tilts his head, he can sometimes feel a rush and sometimes some sharp head pain.

All in all though...he rocks our world, he is truly a miracle and this photo taken at the hospital yesterday says it all...

That is a playground ship he is standing next to, located right outside the main lobby.

This is a view of the main lobby..not all of it, just me standing there looking up. His room was to the right of the balloon on the second floor.

Here he is next to two f the three pigs. I had the wrong lens on and was backed up into a wall to get two of the three pigs in there. Duh me. :0(

This next photo is a close up and it's graphic. If your not wanting to see what his actual surgical site looks like post surgery, then best to click off now.
If your not bothered by it..then scroll down please.

A little more...........................

Almost there......................................................

As much hair that was taken off..within 24 hours it was already growing back. It won't take long at all until he has he's rocking the "hawk" once again. :0)

Welp, I best be gettin' on. I've got some catching up to do with the mile high laundry mountain and lots of hats to get out in the mail this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, that miracle young man has been thru more in his short life than most people see in an entire lifetime and he is a true warrior!
Rock on Kody Bear! And KUDOS to his
great parents and siblings. I truly beleive that is a huge part of his success story.

Hey, that hospital looks awesome! I have a new name for Kody: Hair Bear {sorry...someone was just talking to me about Care Bears!}! I imagine he'll be one of those men that shaves in the morning and already has a 24 hour shadow by 4 PM! Glad he's resting.

Your laundry pile sounds like mine, Kim. Isn't it amazing how we can do 3 & 4 loads a day and suddenly the mounds are back? Or, better yet, when I empty the hamper, wash all day long, and find a full hamper that very night. That's when the kids hear me scream, "Who decided to clean their room????!!!" :o)

Have a good night!

Love,
Shiela

Dude, little bit of brain surgery. Little bit of hardware. Nothing is stopping you my friend. Plus the scar looks Tuff. Get better there Kody. Someone has to pick on Kolin full time. I bet he is missing it already. Take care there Kody. Feel much better soon. Your always in my thoughts and prayers. Kim....still taking many pics here and just visited Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Don't have a clue about what to do with all the pics. LOL. Take care Kim.
