If I figured it right, I need about 6 more hours in the day to complete everything that needs doing.
Starting with the blog, I really need to get back to my daily's...sorry. :0(
I've got a ton of pic's that need some downsizing before I can get them on here and I'm way behind in my blog check in's, we haven't been getting to bed till after 11 {sometimes 1 AM for me} every night, I kind of feeling like I'm ready to crash and burn soon but I have to just keep going, or "just keep swimming" like Bear tells me.
This Friday is his post-op appointment and other then a few headaches here and there he's doing OK. He took a fall off the back step last night that I know had to hurt. I don't know what happened except he said he just plain lost his balance. That lead to a scraped up knee and hurt wrist. Poor kiddo. :0(
He's doing his best to get in early to school everyday so he can catch up on the work he missed...gotta love him, he does not know the meaning of the word failure, that's for sure.
I have to admit though, with my leaving in the AM and not getting back till night and everybody wanting my attention at once, I kind of feel like I'm failing him and Kolin too. Is that just sensitive me or is that the way of the working Mom? Somebody tell me I'm not crazy here or is that overwhelming feeling of wanting to lock myself in a room normal? LOL!!
Anywho's..let me get going.
Miss Diane...FOR SURE I will be sending you those 6 new photos for the magazine by tonight. I had them almost ready last night when my computer decided it was a good time to freeze up and I lost them all.
Second times a charm I hope.
Have a great day everyone!!!!!

Hey, Kim...you're right...you're not alone...it's an awful hard job to be a MOM and a WIFE, and then work outside the home too. Being a stay-at-home mom is a job all in itself. I'm fortunate enough to have a business attached to my house, so that I'm home with my kids. HOWEVER, being an owner of a business that also means I'm the sales rep, marketing rep, sales assistant, advertising department, accountant, store mananger, etc. ,etc. I wouldn't trade it but there are times that I think how nice it would be to not have to do this. BUT, I'm so fortunate to be "working out of my home", even though I work all sorts of crazy hours out here and my kids don't get the attention they deserve some days. I'm still home, though, when they get home from school, and that is what matters for us. We're all different...some moms can't wait to get back in the workforce after being on maternity leave. Some moms can't stand going back to the job once home with a baby. As you know, parenting never goes away, so I personally think your feelings are justified. And...I can definitely relate to needing 6 more hours in a day! :O)
Hope your day, and Kody's, and the rest of the K-Klan is good. Kody, you inspire me every single day. I sure hope you didn't hurt anything when you fell.
Take care everyone.
Love,
Shiela
BIG BIG {{HUGS}} My friend!! xoxo
Kim,
I've never commented in the many years that I have followed first Kody's story and now your blog..., but the comment about working mothers hit home. You are the best Mom, not failing anyone. You have so much on your plate, get a starbucks and give yourself a break. It is hard to go from being there all the time to now being away from home all day. It's hard enough to just get through the day, don't compound it with all those extra guilt feelings. I have found that our kids learn things in different ways than we intend sometimes. All of this craziness you guys are going through with you working out of the house now is overwhelming I'm sure. Always remember what a wonderful mother you are, and a super grandmother too! You are a champion in my eyes. I hope today is much smoother, and if you need to go in the bedroom and close the door, you are fully entitled.
By the way, sorry to hear about Kody's fall, and I will be praying for his appt. on Friday.

Oh Kim - 6 hours would be nice wouldn't it? BUt then I am sure we'd have to work 50 hour weeks instead ... but don't worry - your faithful blog followers come by no matter what ... just to see any pictures of your kiddos and that beautiful grandbaby is worth stopping in ... hope all is well with Kody!

Kim, that is a very normal feeling of a working mom to have. your not failing your kids your helping provide for them. I bet if you give it some time things will settle down and be a bit more relaxed.
Yep, it's perfectly normal. :-/ Just keep swimming. Love ya lots, CJ
Thats the part of the working mom and it stinks....But, we gotta do what we gotta do to get those bills paid! Sorry to hear about Kody's fall....Good luck on the post op but lord knows that boy doesnt stay down long.....always thinking of all of the K crew.....

Don't feel bad. Your children know how much you love them. The WORLD knows how much you love them. You will get in a new rhythm and it will all be ok. Smooches.
Kim, very normal feelings so you're not alone. You know you will do the best you can to be with them when you're at home but I'm sure you're wondering what's happening at home when you're at work. You really haven't established your rhythm yet with juggling your new schedule. I think once you do that, you'll start feeling better about it.
Take care of yourself. Hope Kody feels better today after his fall...
Okay. It's official.
I'm feeling deprived.
Deprived of my daily K-Klan Fix! :O)
Sure hope your day was okay for all of you, and just think...TGIF!!! :) Oh, yeah...isn't Kody's f/u app't tomorrow? If so, GOOD LUCK!!!
