Whacha' Readin'?

I hardly ever have time to sit down and read a book. Magazines, yes. Books...mostly never.

Though..Kaysha bought this one a couple of weeks ago and I borrowed it....OMG, read it..seriously!!
And, ummmmm.....have a stack of tissues, you'll need it.

BTW..if you get a chance to find "The Last Lecture", by the late Randy Pausch, on the web {we saw it on Oprah}..you have to see it, unbelievable.

Not much in the way of time to update right now..Monday's are that way.

So...I'll wish ya'all a great day and be on my way!!

Later Gators!!

***EDIT TO ADD***
Incase you wanted a copy of this book...Kaysha got hers right at our local Wal-Mart. I think she paid about $14.00 for it.

Kim, I already have that book on order and it will be here within days. I agree...you MUST see the Oprah show, or some other way to see this guy interviewed. I think he was on Dateline as well (or some other evening show like that). I CRIED when I first heard his story, and I bawled again when they recently updated the evening show (after he had passed). Part of me thinks it is because of how AMAZING he was when he handled his news, and how he did, in fact, conduct his Last Lecture. Part of me also knows that I feel emotionally attached because he was diagnosed around the same time as my brother, Stan, and also was about the same age. What ZEST this man had, and I can't wait to read the book. I was going to order it back when I first learned about him, so I'm sure it will bring up all sorts of emotions now that I'll finally get to.

Hope you have a nice Monday. I didn't really have time to stop by right now, but if I didn't it would be about 10 tonight before I get another chance. Have a good one!

I haven't read his book, but I've tried to watch the lecture and I can't make it through without bawling like a big ol baby. The same way I did when I heard that he passed. He truely is an inspiration!

That definitely was an amazing book. I actually read it on my trip from Long Island to my parent's lake house in Hawley, PA back in June or something like that. I read it within two hours & yes, the tissues were right next to me.

I loved that book. It was so so so good. He was a wonderful amazing person. I have his Last Lecture on my Ipod and have listened to it a ton of times, and have read the book about 3 or 4 times.

I have heard of this book! Very powerful from what I've heard - I will definitely have to read it.

I made your strawberry shortcake dessert this last weekend. Loved it!! The whole family loved it! I posted it on my blog (giving you full credit of course!)

The actual lecture on DVD is available on his website for cost, which is $7 and that includes shipping. I bought it and have watched it several times, the man himself had such charisma and joy in what life he had left and it comes through in the lecture. I recommend it to everyone. Love, CJ
PS You can also download it for free from his website.

Randy Pausch is the most wonderful man. I have seen his lecture many times, and his "brick walls" quote has pulled me through a lot.
That said, here is a link to the complete (one hour and a quarter) lecture on YouTube for those who are interested (though I definitely recommend buying the book or DVD):
