Winter Storms

Please, let's all spend a moment and say a prayer for all the families who have been hit hard by the ice storms.
I know alot of Kody's fans are out there and we want you to know that you are in our thoughts, hearts and prayers.
You know...if you want to get to Florida..you know where to find us.
We have the biggest, ugliest home on our street....but there's always room for more and always someone willing to give up a bed or two.
Plus...Karl makes a kick butt breakfast and I am Queen of the coffee machine, so come on down!! :0)

Thanks for the offer. The ice warning is still in force for another hour. The branches from our trees touch the ground. This is our 2nd ice storm in 8 months, we still have trees down from last March. You Rock Kim, thanks for the prayers, we are lucky as we continue to have our power...
Hugs from Iowa,
Marjie

I'm on my way..just kidding! It's just so darn cold here in NY- but I am sure Karyelle can attest to that as well! But in all seriousness I pray that all affected by the storm are a-okay.

Kim,
I've been reading about Kody and your family for so long - I have gained such strength watching your family cope with Kody's struggles. Thank you for sharing. (we have fallen in love with everyone in your crazy family!)

Now, I want to ask you a favor. I know you have an amazing group of followers that believe in the power of positive thoughts.

My 18 year old son is a newly enlisted member of the Air FOrce. He will be stationed in FL (near Pensacola) soon and then will be deployed as early as June 08. He has done so well in the military - Everyday he makes me proud to be his mom.

Recently, he and some of his fellow Airmen were walking in downtown San Antonio and they were spit on. By people yelling negative statements about War.

CJ is having a hard time understanding why people do things like this. As his mother, I want to kick those people in the butt. Since I can't do that, I thought I would ask perfect strangers (those that are obviously caring as they prove by following Kody's story) to stop by my blog and leave him a positive comment. To let CJ and the other servicemen that read the blog, that the "spitters" do not represent our country.

If you would take a minute to stop on over, I would be forever
grateful. And if you would ask your friends/family/ anyone else you can think of to do so as well, just think how wonderful CJ will
feel. If each of you asks just one other person, think how powerful
a message we can send to our servicemen and women.

Thank you for even considering this. My heart breaks for my son - I thought this type of behavior ended decades ago…

don't tempt me! We just got another 6 inches of snow yesterday. In the past 10 days we have gotten close to 24 inches of snow! Last year we didn't even have snow for Christmas....very pretty but a pain to shovel! Good luck at Shands today...we will be praying for you.

That's very nice of you, Kim, to ask for prayers for those affected by the major ice storms. My husband happens to be in Cedar Rapids, Iowa right now and the ice out in that part of the country is definitely worse than hear in our area of NY state. We woke up to everything coated in a relatively small layer of ice. I "skated" down the driveway to salt the sidewalks, and branches fell, but definitely nothing like what those folks out west are dealing with. As always, your heart is always thinking of others. Part of the reason I've fallen in love with your family!! :)

Love,
Shiela
