My New Friend Ally

We met quite by accident today, seriously.

Today was one of those rare days that I actually get to spend one on one time with one of my many kiddo's.
Today was Kolin's day.
We spent about two good hours getting to know each other again, how life's been treating us, what's up in our end of the world, listening to Kolin talk non-stop without coming up for air, things like that.
When I asked him what he wanted to do this afternoon, he said "Go to Venetian Gardens so I can roll in the grass and climb on trees"
Our yard that full of lush green grass, is also lushly full of giant fire ant piles and tree's that are not meant for climbing.

So..we left Kody and Dad home and off we went with our camera, change of shirts and lots of bubblegum.

I'll post some photos of that tomorrow but tonight I wanted to show you all my new friend, Ally...all six feet of her, cute as a button and sweet as cherry pie I tell ya.

Isn't she lovely?

This is the story of how we met today.

First I'll start off with telling you all that Karl, who I know in my heart cares deeply for me, is always on my back about how I strut around like some airhead, constantly unaware of her surroundings.
To which I tell him, "Get off my back Man, that is such a lie".

Today, as I was admiring and snapping photos of the gorgeous purple flowers that grow on the waters shore, I heard Kolin's voice behind me saying..

"Look at me, hey Mom..over here, hey guess what, Mom..Mom...look here, ummmm Mom...stop, don't take another step..Mom? Mom!!! MOM STOP!!!!"

And there I was, about to step right on that big old booger, my new friend Ally, had it of not been for Kolin's screeching voice.

So, I did what any responsible Mom would do...I told Kolin to get ready to run and I stuck that camera right at Ally....because I just knew Karl, Kody, Kaysha and all of you would want to see her toothy, smiley face.
Also...to let any of you know that if your planning a trip to Florida soon....alligator mating season is right around the corner..and these giant critters will be popping up everywhere. :0)

More pic's tomorrow..I have got to make sure everyone is ready for bed when I holler "GO TO BED!" because I am not going to miss a minute of Wisteria Lane tonight.

Have a great night everyone!!

Love, Kim

PS. Dude Man, I owe you an apology...When I see pretty things, I lose awareness of just about everything. I'll try to change. :0/

Ohhh, my goodness. THANK YOU, KOLIN, for keeping an eye on Mamma Bear!!!

Nice pic, Kim, but it were me, I don't think my heart would have been stopping long enough to take a picture (or two or three or whatever number you probably took!!).

Oops - there's the 9 o'clock bell. Wonder if you're snuggled up on the couch right about now? :)

P.S. I think it's awesome that you got one-on-one time with Kolin. Makes me want some of that with my own kiddos. :)

Oh what is a cutie ;)

Those poor gators get such a bad wrap. I probably would have taken a picture too, but then I probably would have ran right afterwards. Gators are pretty neat!

Good job for Kolin's keen eyes ;)

Looking forward to seeing the pictures of Kolin you took on your one on one time

Breeding time eh? Good to know. Coming to Florida for the first time ever next month...I only planned on meeting Mickey Mouse, eating great ice cream and shopping til I drop ( I cannot even imagine what Walmart is like, my credit card is weeping already)
Glad all is well and you got to hang out with Kolin...it looks so warm where you are, I cannot wait!!!!!
