Today's challenge...texture making.
I have been looking for the perfect soft white linen texture for a while but geez..they can be a little pricey, kwim?
So, this morning I fiddled and I fiddled some more and I came up with this.
Here it is used on an old photo I found just hanging around the PC.
I'm sure it would look alot better on something with a white background. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything this morning white. No worries.
For anyone new to textures, using them..so simple.
First, bring up your photo and texture in Photoshop.
You can adjust the texture to fit your photo by going to Image>Image Size and then Window> click on your photo name.
Once sized, copy and paste over your photo. Change the blending mode to "Multiply".
If you like the texture but are not crazy about the color, you can change the color easily by going to Image>adjustments>Hue & Saturation. Click "Colorize" and play with the sliders until you get the color you like. Do this BEFORE you paste it over your photo.
Here's the link for the texture, right click on it and save the large size.
Enjoy it!!

I REALLY, REALLY want to know what the BIG summer surprise is! Is it the house?? I have been on pins and needles for months, lol.
Okay, Kim. You know I love you. Right? Well, I just wanted you to know that you've officially lost me. I am one of those pathetic people that, back in the dinosaur days whenwe developed our 110 and 35 mm rolls of film, I would bring them home and MAYBE get them wrote on. No chance in you-know-what of them ever making it to a photo album. Now that we have digital cameras they make it to the pc but RARELY get emailed and NEVER get printed. SAD, I know...
So, while I love your pictures, I'll be happy to just sit back and enjoy more in the future! This lady is not going to be playing with anything Photo Shop, Photo Chop, or anything in between. My luck I'd delete the picture or turn the background purple and the flowers white!! :-)
Thanks for sharing those pretty flowers again, though. :)
Love,
Shiela
