Yesterday he earned his next higher rank, he is now a "Cadet Airman".
So, my diva of a granddaughter, Adriana...
who's 3 1/2 calls me today kind of upset.
Apparently she had a little "dream/visit" from her Grammpa last night. :)
First she told me that she was very sad because in her words "I should have never let Grammpa's hand go".
When I asked her what happened she said...
"Gramma I was running around outside under a rainbow and I saw Grammpa and he was holding my hand. He played with me and he told me that he loves me very much and that he is in a better place now with his other family but he will always be with me"
Yea, I was like "WOW".
Then I asked her what Grammpa looked like and her words were...
"He was beautiful he looked like a Prince".
That make me laugh a little.
So I asked her why she was so sad? And she said "Because I let go of his hand and he went away, I should have never let go".
Just a little girls dream of a Grammpa she misses dearly?
I don't think so. :)

Wow, what a wonderful picture of Kody! What a handsome young man he is! Be proud Mom! I do believe your granddaughter had a very special visit from her Grandpa! What a lucky little girl she is! It broke my heart when I read, she shouldn't have let his hand go!! Glad you are getting visits from Karl, amazing!!
Kody looks so handsome!! Very sweet dream adrianna had! When my mom died my 4 year old son was very close to her and he had dreams like that all of the time. He would tell me about them and I would be stunned! It took about a year and then I started having them too.
Can't believe how grown up Kody looks! And I love Adri's phone call! Not that a child should feel bad about letting go of her Grandpa's hand, but WOW - what a story! Thanks for sharing!
Wow, I can't believe how big and how handsome that son of yours is. And Adriana? What a little sweetie pie she is. I am sure Grammpa will be back many more times to hold her hand, she need not worry about that.
Oh my gosh, I just got chills! How beautiful!
Kody is sure growing up! What a sweet story from your granddaughter! I could just picture her being upset about letting go of Karl's hand.

Love the pic of Kody! He's so handsome! Thanks for sharing all the stories of Karl's contacts. I completely believe they are real! I experienced one myself shortly after my friend's 5 yr. old son passed away from leukemia. He stood next to my bed & talked to me. I first thought it was a dream, but it was too real. Love, Hugs & Prayers to you all!
