Zombie Stompers

So, last week was Karlio and my 30th wedding anniversary. Yeppers...30 years, same man. Cool!

What could possibly be cooler then that? Well, actually...what the Fed Ex man delivered to my front door, that's what.
The baddest shoes ever, Zombie Stompers...



It's true, my man went on-line and ordered them, right size and all, without me even knowing.
He's a keeper...he really, truly is.

Know what's even cooler? The fact that after 30 years he still knows I can rock those bad boys. hehe...
I love that man.

Springtime In Florida

Springtime in Florida feels more like summertime anywhere else. Springtime around here does produce some awfully pretty flowers and since we haven't been in this house a whole year yet, just about every few days we are finding new flowers blooming.

I still have no idea what this is called, but it grows on a tree in our front yard and is bright red with tiny yellow tips. There are literally hundreds of them and they popped up all within two days.

Truck Show

Last Saturday evening, after spending the entire day at work in the 90 degree heat, Karlio came home, threw us all in the jeep and took us out to Wildwood's "75 Chrome Shop", which is a guy store full of sparkly, shiny chrome stuff that you put on a truck.
Better then that, this shop was having a truck show, the 18 wheeled version and that's really why we went.
Now, while I don't know anything at all about the technical version of what makes trucks run, I do know a thing or two about pretty painted things.

These were my favorites...

The Harley Davidson was quite pretty in all it's orange and black...



This green and black one was SWEET!! Check out the brass knuckles for door handles..



And here is some sparkly stuff that makes that truck go...



And here is the front seat, sparkly shiny and very cool...



This one was a tribute to a music legend. I liked the way the sun hit it, reflecting the sky and making it sparkle. Can you see a pattern here?

Who happens to love bulldogs and who also vows to never get off my back until one fine day when he will actually become the owner of a bulldog. Yes, he loves those so dang ugly they are so freakin' adorable dogs that much. :0)
Truth be told, I kind of like them too.

Truth be told again, Karlio didn't really throw us into the jeep, we all went willingly. :0)

One more thing...
I have an abnormally gigantic head IN THIS PHOTO ONLY because my incredibly strange Mom likes to climb up ladders and zoom in real close using a wide angle lens which distorts me to the max but makes her laugh.
I love my Mom, so I let her have her way.
Revenge will someday be mine.

I know the colors on this picture are, ummmmm..bad.
I have been trying to get used to shooting in "RAW" and using Lightroom, then finishing all details and adjustments in CS3.
Everything looks great until I upload to Flickr {as a Jpeg} and then, BAM...colors are all kinds of boring and desaturated.
I think I'll stick to being a Jpeger.
If it ain't broken, don't fix it. Or, try to learn new things at an old age, or whatever. :0)

Sry for the lapse, things have been busy and Kolin is home again today with another ear infection. We'll track them till June and then start the whole ENT/ear tubes adventure all over again, for the third time.

Return Of The Green Wall {and other stuff}

So, yesterday was Kody's neurology visit and because his latest med's were not working it was decided to change med's again, in hopes of keeping his facial and eye tic's in check...or at least tone them down a bit.

This morning he had his first dose of this new {ahem, cough..cough...miracle} med.
Thankfully I had a 9:45 appointment at his school this morning to meet the ESE team at the High School or I would have never known until this afternoon that my kid's brain and body, due to this new medicine, was racing at about 300 mph.
I could have gave him a case of Red Bull for breakfast and had the same result.

Long story short, he won't be taking that anymore.
I did place a call to neurology, I haven't heard back yet. :0(

The visit with the HS people went really well.
He will stay under the same plan and basically with the same courses but they are going to try and fit him into his favorites such as weight lifting, ROTC and TV Production.

And ahhh, did I mention MY BABY is going to HIGH SCHOOL this coming up school year?
{drama induced...WHY? WHY?...OK, I'm done now}

On a happier note, I dragged the kidlets and one chair out into a field of weeds with that kickin' green building yesterday afternoon and here are a few. {I promise there will be more, I am just running behind as always. Maybe I should take one of those hyper spaz pills? lol, I kid, I kid!}

Not too many of Kolin cuz, well..to be honest, keeping it real and all. His ADD kept him trotting through the field looking for golf balls when I was busy with the others.
Gotta love those ADD kids, they are a riot. :0)

Where The Magic Happens

Yard Critters

The warm weather is definitely here and with it brings yard work.
With yard work bring critters, critters who like to come on out in the warm sun.

Here we have the latest, just a tiny baby garden snake...which, ummm, when got all excited all, decided to have a poop-fest all over my driveway.
This snake looks small, but trust me, it turded big.



That's Kody's hand, btw, Kody's not afraid of anything, especially snakes...



It wasn't easy getting that booger in focus, he was all over the place...

Wisteria

Gotta love that purple. I took this on Easter morning, right across the street from Karlio's job.
Unfortunately I couldn't get real close so I slapped on my super zoom and got a few nice ones anyway.



I think {correct me if I am wrong though} these are called "Wisteria".

The kids have been on spring break for almost a week now.
Are they bored? Yes.
Did we put them to work in the yard yesterday? Yes.
Are they complaining about being bored anymore? Nope. LOL!

They go back to the books this coming up Monday, however, Kody will start on Tuesday because he has a morning neurology appointment on Monday. The medicine they put him on for eye tic's isn't really doing anything, so it's back to try something else.
He had his blood work yesterday so maybe that can tell us something.

Not much going on today, so we'll just try to enjoy this getting hot weather we've been having....finally. :0)

Old Truck Tires = Beauty To Me

I've driven past these tires hundreds of times, this is one of the places Karlio get his truck parts from.
So, anyway..on Saturday after delivering his lunch to him, I drove by again and thought to myself..

"Hmmm, nice day, not too sunny, perfect light, think...think..think"

Then I came home and mentioned it to Kaysha and together we both said "You thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?"

We both said "Hell yeah" and I said "But I get to pick the clothes".
Agreed.
So we both took off to my closet, yes mine..don't you love it when you can share clothes with your kid? :0)
