Spring Is Sprungin'

Nuts and Bolts, my two fave squirrels are back.
Lilly the bluejay is claiming fame to her sunflower seed handouts.
Pretty pink flowers are blooming everywhere.
And, Adriana, the "teething queen, cranky butt, hold me all day and goodness know don't even look away from my direction or I will let you know in no uncertain terms that is totally not acceptable", is looking kind of purdy in her cute, cushy, lil' ole' bumbo seat.



Unfortunetly for her...she inheritated her Gramma's lover of all things whipped cream thunder thighs and keeps getting stuck in that seat everytime I try to take her out. :0(

Today Kody's get's his bloodwork done, so we should know something by next week.

Later on this afternoon/evening I have a {piad...YAY me!!} photo shoot to do for a couple of Kaysha's friends. But...UGH...the weather does not look promising and I am thinking we may have to postpone...which really chaps my a$s.
Ah well..things happen, right?

We, here in our "K" home, have been watching the news, and have been saddened and completely horrified by the destruction of the recent tornados down south.
Our heartfelt prayers and thoughts to everyone who has been involved, especially, if any of our cyber friends who have followed us throughout Kody's journey have been involved in any way.
It was just a year ago this week that Kaysha's lost one of her best friends, Miss Brittany, when tornados ripped through Central Florida. It was the first funeral Kaysha had ever attended...and it was devestating to her..and also the boys who joined us for Brittany's celeration of life and burial.

Welp, I totally hate to do this but I better jump off if I am going to have 10 minutes to check on a few of your blogs. :0)

Oh...just a few FYI's..

We're totally cool with the beads..no worries. When I need a few minutes of me time, I just pop her sweet little butt in the snake tank, Houdini and Korey are wonderful huggy babysitters.

Bless your heart, thank you so much! I am so happy she loves her cupcake hat.
Today, sometime, I'm making a cupcake purse to match. Fingers crossed it turns out as sweet as the hat did.
I think these would make cute 1st {or 2nd, 3rd....} birthday hats. I got the idea from one of our hat friends who wanted one as a birthday gift for her newborn grandaughter..how cute is that? :0)

Just incase there are any crocheter's out there, this is where I got that cute pattern..

Shelle's Cupcake Hat Pattern

Miss Shelle has been AWESOME! We e-mail every few days and she was sweet enough to let me try out her cupcake purse pattern. Now, I just have got to find me a few minutes to stitch that one up.

OK...I really, really better get going. I hope to get some more photos up later on. Busy...busy...busy all of the time these days.

Happy Mardi Gras!

I'm a day late, I know. :0(

Anywhos..in honor of Mardi Gras, I took a very quick photo of Adri yesterday in her beaded best.
When I say quick..I do mean quick, she was in noooo mood.
I'll show you some others later...LOL...believe me, she was a crank butt.




Allergy season is upon us and with that, Kolin's allergies are getting out of control. Poor kid just can't, for the life of him, shake those allergy/sinus headaches.
His eye/facial tic's are getting worse {like Kody's were but not as bad}. Shands called yesterday though, and he has an appt. set up for Feb. 29th.

Kody, on the other hand, is back to sleeping his days away.
He was back home from school by 10:15 yesterday morning with a headache.
He fell asleep at 10:30 AM and didn't wake up until 5:30 PM.
Since he's been off his thyroid medication for the past 3 weeks, his sleepiness is back and his energy level is zapped too.
I e-mailed his endro. yesterday and asked if we could check his thyroid levels now instead of waiting for the 6 week off med's mark.
He said "Defiently..ASAP!!"
So, tomorrow afternoon he is scheduled for a 1:30 appt. at our local lab.

I have a feeling he'll be back on his Synthroid.
So, basically that tell's us that his original seizure medicine, Carbatrol, is not the culprit of his thyroid gone bad.
We took the chance and took him off the Synthroid after we had switched his seizure medicine to Keppra, which has no known bad effects on the thyroid. Unfortunetly, that doesn't seem to be the cause.

Narrowing it down more, it looks like his thyroid was damaged by either of two things...
The original grand mal seizure he had almost three years ago or his brain tumor.

Depending on the bloodwork results, we probably just put him back on his Synthroid..which he always did real well on.

Oh crudmeisters..baby's up so I better get going.

Holy Cannoli's...It's Gonna Be A Long Day

Two Boys,
Two Sinus Headaches,
Tons of Pollen,
Kolin is allergic to pollen,
Claratin, Nasonex, Albuteral, Motrin,
Add on one teething baby who is trying to crawl.

I wonder if Starbuck's will ever make a store on my street because I would live there, forever.

Ah well..thank goodness I decided to get the 56 oz. bag of swedish fish...I have a feeling we'll be downing a whole lot of these today...

Just Another Manic Monday

What you don't want to find when you get to work first thing in the morning or shall I say ...

What Karl found when he showed up for work first thing this morning...





Ummm....yeah, looks like sometime between Saturday night and yesterday the lift broke or sank and the only thing holding up the back of this truck was the tire rack that was underneath, in the back.

All is OK though...they got a flatbed to come get that truck safely back on the ground.

Dog Gone Embarrassin'

So, about week and a half or so ago..maybe more, Kody's see's this little camo jacket for dogs in the clearance cart at Wal-Mart for $2.50.
You know what that boy said to me?

"Think of it as a photo prop, Mom"

UGH...so yeah, I bought it.

Poor Musa...Delilah the cat sat right next to him just staring while I was photographing him in it...I know he had to have been just a little humilated. :0)

Oh Delilah...I am all ready planning Musa's revenge..ya better watch out feline girl :0)

Feelin' Hot...Hot...Hot

There is just nothing like a good ole' fashioned bonfire to settle the young uns' down for the night...especially if those young uns' are boys. :0)







So...that's how the boys/men of the family spent their night last night..just chillin' and talking about guy things like guys do.

We never did make it to Marti Gras yesterday. Kody had a headache and slept for about 4 hours in the afternoon, then I ended up with a migraine that lasted way into the middle of the night...sooo, we'll make up for it next year, for sure.

Not much else going on today...we're just smokin' us some short ribs and waiting for the Superbowl to start. Chances are though...we'll make it to halftime and then pass out.
Yep...getting old stinks. :0)
