Kody Bear

Since we had to wean Kody off of his Orap, his eye/facial tic medication, he hasn't wanted his photo taken much.
Constantly closing his eyes shut doesn't bother me in the least but it does makes him very aggravated.
Fortunately though, since the Orap wasn't the source of Kody's problems he's been having, we got the OK from his Neurologist to wean him back on his medication...after we see the ENT Doc. this Wednesday.

I've been taking hundreds of pic's of everyone else around here that will let me, but lately I have been missing those big ole' mega M&M brown eyes of my Bear.
So, a few days ago I reminded him that girls get on this site...single, teen girls and once in a while they'd like to check out his M&M eyes too.

So, while he wouldn't necessarily do it for me....girls, he's all yours today....Enjoy!! :0)

All the entries were hysterical and soooooo cute but Kim's stuck about as good as Adri's backside is stuck in that cup.

It wasn't easy, Kody and Kolin, at the very last minute, narrowed it down to two and they did the "close your eyes and pick one" thing, the "Eeny Meeny Minny Moe" thing and the "I'll give you the last candy cane in the house if you pick mine" thing.
But, together, over Pillsbury Grand Cinnabon rolls {Thank you Dad} and blue Gatorade they picked a winner.
That's brotherhood for ya. :0)

This was so much fun...we all had the best time yesterday reading the entries as they came in. This really was our best entertainment yesterday and so, with that said...we will be doing this again and again.
Besides...between Kolin's puppy dog eyes telling me "But I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings" and Kody's darn bumble bee pouty lips telling me "Can't everyone be a winner?" you know they aren't going to let me stop now. :0)

Oh...before I leave..just so you know, round two with the giant teacup {which is actually a flower pot I picked up from Wal-Mart last Spring} went much, much better. :0)

Time's Up!

Our panel of hard core judges, Kolin and um...Kody, who's still in bed but we're working on jumping on him to wake him up are hard at work making a final decision.

We've got it narrowed down to six finalists.

Yesterday, we had over 60 entries and I have to tell you...we laughed so hard we cried. One inparticular I can't get out of my head...and if it was up to me it would be the winner. Just my luck though, it is on K&K's final countdown.

Name That Picture!!

Welcome to our very first "Name That Picture" contest.

It had to be..it was just a given, this picture needs something...but what something?
A name of course! :0)



Get your noggins' warmed up, grab a cup of coffee and let's get this party started.

Backyard Golf

Since Karyelle took the kids golfing back in November..they have had this crazy facination for golf.
Go figure..I never would have thought rough and tumble, wild, nutso kids could really get into a sport so relaxing.

Packing them up and paying for a day of golfing every week would break us for sure so we had to think of another alternative.

One day last week I found Karl and Kyle James cooking up something, and I'm not talking kitchen cooking..I'm talking "What can we create using power tools and house stuff" cooking.
Scary...I know.

Using an old dog run, and an old pool cover they invented this and put it up in our backyard.



Meghan picked up some golf sticks at a yard sale and now the kids can shoot golf balls all day long into that tarp...



"Ummm..Hello, my grass!!!!!"



"Such concentration, such seriousness, such...."



"Oh, nevermind...if you can't whack it after 16 tries...just throw the darn thing"

Outake Thursday

I was sifting through and weeding out some old pic's and found this one.
I took it last month and forgot all about it.

What you don't see in this picture was Paris, our cat looking at her from the side, like we all went plum crazy. :0)
I have no idea why I cropped her out.

PS.
Kody's headache has finally left the building.

Kolin's ear infection is horrible and he's on a stronger antibiotic {Bactrim I think?}. Plus, he's having pain in the bone surrounding her ear which is worrying his Dr. who wants to see him back tomorrow if it still hurts or Monday at the latest if we can't make it tomorrow. Since he has a class trip to see "Arabian Knights" in Orlando...I doubt we'll be back there tomorrow.

Adri's tooth has not broken through and I swear I still have gum prints where she gnawed on my hand all day. BTW...the teething rings I sooooooo lovingly chilled for her remained untouched.

Karl's tooth infection is waaaaaayyyyy worse. He's taking Amoxicillin...hoping it will knock out the infection.

And that my friends...concludes our day.

My 2 Minute Update

LOL..seriously, if I time this right I will have exactly 2 minutes , maybe less so let's get started, shall we?
I'm thinking fast, typing fast, phones riniging...BRB...

ok, I'm back with a baby on my knee so bear with me please.

Where was I?

Kody's home with a major headache since last night. Kolin is home with an ear infection..actually his ear infection from last week doesn't seem to be better so I'm waiting on a call back from ped's so he can be rechecked today.
Karl's got a toothache/infection that had him up literally all night, he is a mess.
Adriana's fixin' to cut her first tooth and she is not a happy camper.
We're out of toilet paper and I'm drinking my last cup of coffee till the pot runs dry.

Ummmm..it's not a holly jolly day, that's for sure but we'll make it through...maybe. :0)

Shands trip went fairly well yesterday. It was Dr. Pollack's last day and he'll be enjoying retirement...it was sad to know he won't be back.
Anywhos...Dr. P feels that the medicationis not the cause of Kody's voice, balance, confusion, memory, etc problems. Since his tics are back it's safe for us to stop the Klonapin and put him back on Orap, very, very slowly.
Kodys balance on his left side which has never been real great seems to be getting worse and nobody can tell us why.

Dr. P was real impressed how strong Kody's body is....he's 5' 7" and 121 pounds of muscle. He looks thinner lately but it's because all his little boy chub is turning into muscle..plus he is getting taller by the day.
Blame it on karate...not only has martial arts made his brain and his mind healthier..but training 5, going on 6 days a week has got his body in the most tip top shape..Kolin too.

Dr. P wants Kody to stay on his seizure meds. Since his seizures are under control, there is no reason to stop the Keppra, it's doing it's job great.

Next appt. is on this coming up Wednesday to see the ear/nose/throat doctor at Shands. Maybe thet can tell us why he is losing his voice so rapidly.
If everything turns up normal there, then we go back to Dr. Pincus {neurosurgeon} to give him another try at what's going wrong...be it shunt/tumor/increased intracranial pressure.

Welp my friends...I have got to jump off for now because typing with one hand and juggling a fussy baby with the other isn't working for me anymore. LOL!!
