Manipulated by, who else? Me!
fyi, yes that's my duo colored peeper. Unique? Yes. Odd? Definitely! hehe....

It's another gorgeous day here in Central Florida so I guess I'll head out for a bit and get a mile or two of walking time before my day gets ridiculously insane.

Have a wonderful day everyone!!

Don't Mess With The Mask

Yesterday I asked Kaysha to help me out with organizing Kolin's room a bit so her stuff can get put away instead of left out on the closet floor.
It is bad enough for some crazy reason the designer of this house decided closet doors weren't necessary, which leaves me having to look at "closet stuff" every time I walk into K&K's room's, but adding to it leaves it cluttered looking and if there is one this in this world that gets on my very last nerve...it is clutter.

So, anyway....she does what I ask her to do and when I walk in his room a little while later to put some of his laundry away, I find Kolin's beloved Michael Myers mask looking like this...

And all I could think of was "Oh she is gonna get her butt whooped for that".

And then he came home from school.
And then he walked into his room.
And then Kaysha tried to run.
But, she didn't get far cuz lil' man is fast. Very, Very, VERY fast.

Poor girl....

Still, he finds time to smile for the camera...how stinkin' cute.

The moral of this story is...

"Don't Ever, EVER Mess With The Mask".

Have a great day all!!

PS. FYI, Kaysha was not hurt or beaten in any way. It's just a sibling thing, done with love and laughs. Really, he actually thought it was funny....well, after the shock of seeing his favorite horror movie killer mask in pink hater blockers and a suma wrestler looking pony tail anyway. :0)

Autumn Pumpkin

"Autumn begins with a subtle change in the light, with skies
a deeper blue, and nights that become suddenly clear and
chilled. The season comes full with the first frost, the
disappearance of migrant birds, and the harvesting of
the season's last crops."
- Glenn Wolff and Jerry Dennis -

Fall Pumpkin

All the Halloween deco. got put up yesterday and because I don't have a whole lot of "Turkey Day" stuff, the house she's a lookin' kind of...boring.
Hmmmm.....gotta fix that real soon.

I am soooo not looking forward to December. Guess I have never really been the holly jolly Christmas person.
Oh I'll get through it alright for the kids but our tree goes up the weekend before and it comes down by Jan. 1st. Sooner if I can help it. Luckily for me, I married someone who 100% agrees with that rule. LOL!

I really think it is because of all the "buy me" and the "let the competition of cooler a/k/a out of the ball park expensive, kids gifts begin" hoopla that goes with the holiday. IMHO, if three gifts were good enough for Jesus, who's birthday we are celebrating anyway, then why shouldn't three gifts be good enough for everyone else?
In our home, there really are very little {OK, like just about none} "Santa Claus" type decorations. I am however, leaning towards the whole deers and trees lit up by white lights only for the front yard.
Don't get me wrong here, I mean I want to celebrate and all, I just don't want to go sickeningly ga-ga over the top with the whole rosy cheeked, chubby, big red jacket wearing guy.

With me it's either hot, tropical, bright colors of summer or the still pretty hot here, orange/black/purple colors, dark side of Halloween.
I was in Target on Tuesday, just floating around looking at all the Halloween clearance stuff and right next to it was isles and isles and cheery, happy Christmas stuff.
As much as I did enjoy checking out the ornament section, the music....dang, too much for me.
I did however, find lots of ornaments with the word "Hope" {my favorite word in the world} on them.
Maybe, just maybe there will be some Christmasy shopping in my future. If only they'd turn down that mindless, endless, continuing loops of Santa Claus is coming to town music. :0)

Well everyone, I have got to get going. Another day, lots to accomplish.

Hoping everyone has a really great day today!!

Halloween Dinner 2009

I would have LOVED to have put more effort and thought into this years Halloween feast {actually the thought part was there, it was the effort that quit on me}.
With Kody having the week he did, all planning and shopping took the way of the back burner.
So, I did what I could and pulled whatever I had out and tried a quick create before we dragged the boys out for an hour and a half of "Trick-or-Treating".

HalloweenDinner2009BLOG

Believe this or not, Halloween night was busy at times and of all the teens we saw out collecting candy, we were the only parents out with ours, standing at the end of every driveway, watching over and minding everything they did.
We got a ton of compliments from peep's telling us how polite and respectful they were.
Does a heart good, doesn't it? :0)

Have a great day everyone...mine will be busy taking down the Halloween stuff this morning.
Gotta make way for the turkeys. hehe...

Bear Again

Sorry, I forgot to add this one.

Funny thing is, is that Kody is right handed but when he punches he always favors his left. I never see anyone else in his martial arts class do that. :0)

Later Maters!!

PS. Yes it is still plenty warm enough for him to be outside without a shirt. Gotta love Florida for that reason. :0)

PPSS. Sheila, martial arts training is great for building up muscles, and confidence. Kody though, he is always, I mean always lifting something. Patio blocks, ladders, beams, bikes, his brother, his sister, me. The kid never stops. LOL!

I Will Not Bow

"I Will Not Bow, I Will Not Break
I Will shut the world away
I will not fall, I will not fade
I will take your breath away"

'Breaking Benjamin, I Will Not Bow'

Those are lyrics from one of his favorite songs {these days anyway}.

It does describe Kody, he will not fall and after watching what he went through last week and then watching him back at his martial arts training in our backyard on Sunday with 100% full force and determination, he really did take my breath away.

Sorry about all the watermarks, it was a necessity for this particular photograph.

I realize that photo may not be in everyone's taste, however...fact is, Bear's not a baby anymore. Though, in my eyes, he will always be my "Baby Boy". :0)

Have a great one everyone!!
