Help!!

Kody's had a going on three day headache, I have to figure out how to get him to Orlando, probably to his hospital, Arnold Palmer.
That's bad enough cuz I haven't figured out Orlando yet, but now something in my jeep is slipping.
I have no idea how to check the transmission fluid.
Is there anyone who can talk me thru checking it?
It's a 2002 Grand Cherokee Jeep Laredo.

Thank you!!!!!

Open the hood, start the car, let it warm for about 5 min. Look for the transmission dipstick. I t should be yellow with a "gear" Icon on it. Pull it out while the car is running.
Have a rag handy. As you are pulling it out wipe it off at the same time.
Stick it back all the way back in and pull it out again. This time DO NOT WIPE IT. There are 2 lines on the dipstick make sure the fluid is as close to the top line as possible. If not you will need to add some tranny fluid right down the dipstick hole. Use "Dextron 5" tranny fluid. If that does not do it you have a bigger problem
Peace

Wish I lived closer and could help a friend out. Hope Kody's headache has gone, you have got your vehicle figured out and made it to Orlando without any problems. Will continue to send prayers and good thoughts your way.
Hugs from Missouri,
Jill

Looks to me like the fluid is OK. I'm not sure if thats good or bad at this point?

Now about those directions from your house to the hospital: Here is how I get along (without a GPS): Here are some options before you leave home:
Go into Mapquest: http://www.mapquest.com/
---select Get Directions
---put in your Start (home) and End (hospital) addresses
---print these directions
---THEN use the 'Reverse' option to get the directions home...print these directions

OR Go into Google maps: http://maps.google.com/
---select Get Directions
(same as above)

If you start to type in 'Arnold Palmer Hospital' you will get the hospital (so you don't need to know the exact address) if you are going to the hospital. If, however, you are going to see a Dr that is in a medical facility you may want to ring them and get their street address (so you aren't driving around looking for it).

Kim - please no need to post this please just know that "Peace" from the Northeast is looking out for your family. Its just too bad that these men could not have made "peace" within their lifetimes. I light candles for you often..
