It's a little late, but Madison turned 8 months on the 14th. :)

She's got two little teeth, not much hair and the cutest chin dimple ever.





I made her that little tunic top and I kinda think she looks pretty dang adorable in it.

27 Months

Life just sorta sucks this past week.

Not sure why but I got a feeling Murphy's Law kinda likes this family.

From broken new freezers to my puberty hormone raging teenager getting into trouble for fighting in school to that damn heavy hurting heart that follows me around, to well...just about everything.
These are the times I need him here...to fix the freezer, to fix the kid, to especially fix the heart.

Now, don't get me wrong...after 4 failed attempts with Sears...Michael handled it (from 1000 miles away), late night talks with the kid (not like a Dad, but more like a friend) he handled that too.
My heart on the other hand...I have to deal with that myself (although his phone calls help) for now until that truck heads South again.

4 weeks being without someone is tough...

27 months is just plain torture.

Meet Michael.
He's the light of my life, the man who has somehow managed to break through some very strong walls and who has my heart.
He's helped me to heal, he's given me reason to smile again.


He's not meant to replace, as replacing someone who was priceless is impossible.
He's what the next chapter in my life is all about. :)

I may be a little biased...but I swear I think I have the cutest dog in the world. :)

Everyone here is doing pretty good and life is pretty good as well.
I'm taking off on a little mini vacation this week and I have a really, really good feeling it's going to be just what I've been needing lately.
Oh...and I'm not going alone and nope, there will be no kids allowed. :)

Sorry, it's been a busy month and I know I am way overdue in introducing you all to Michael and I promise I will...please hold tight, I'm on it. :)

Thank you all for the continued support for our family and the encouragement for me to try to live life again. It's not easy and Karl will ALWAYS be my #1 first love and the one who I will always love the most...I want everyone to know that.
Michael could never replace him, but he is a good man...kind, patient, protective, sweet, understanding, funny, dorky, faithful and 1000% devoted to my family, well those of them that will let him in anyway.
The boys like him a lot, it took a while but they do.
Adriana is crazy over him...as he is of her and that is a blessing.
I am hopelessly in love with him and though we don't get to spend much time together {he is a truck driver}, the little bit of time we do spend together is precious.
TG for cell phones and Tango, it's about the best we have 3-4 weeks at a time.

Speaking of Adriana, I took her to a small home town carnival a couple weekends ago and you would have thought I gifted her with a trip to Disney, she was soooo happy.

Here she is, yelling "Look at me Glamma...I can fly!!!"
You just gotta love 5 year old's. :)
