Bokeh
Bokeh (derived from Japanese, a noun boke 暈け, meaning "blur" or "haze") is a photographic term referring to the æsthetic quality of the out-of-focus areas of an image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field.[1] Essentially, bokeh is an aesthetic and qualitative measure of light distortion in the out-of-focus areas of an image, and is primarily caused by lens aberrations and aperture shape.

Or in other words...
Bokeh: Those awesome lens shaped shapes that appear out of focus in the back ground when using a sweet lens such as this one....>>> 85mm 1.8
I love those times when I can pull a picture off the camera and see some cool bokeh hanging out in the background where actually there were a bunch of trees but what you see is the evening light in the shape of my lens coming through those there trees. :0)
If this confuses you at all and your thinking to yourself "What in the world is she rambling about today?", then this is for you my friend..

Just a couple of huggy boys, but please don't quote me on that "huggy" part cuz they are boys and that lil' hug you see could possibly be a hug turned choke hold in like the time it takes to blink an eye, or click a mouse..whatever works faster for you.
Which typically gets Kolin lifted up and dropped just about anywhere.

Speaking of the little Hell Raisers, I am hearing signs of life coming from the other side of the house where they live, so looks like another day has started and it's time for me to disappear for a while.
Have a great day everyone!!

My Second Favorite Bear
This bear has been a trusty sidekick for me ever since I got myself my latest bad habit...a very cool, fun to have around, remote control for "The Nik". {my camera}
He sits quietly on Kody Bear's shelf until I go to call for him and place him at the exact point where I need to set my camera focus on.
Awesome Bear and unlike the real "Bear", this one never complains or asks to be compensated for his time.
Plus, he's fuzzy and cute and doesn't armpit fart during my nightly chick shows.

He makes it possible for me to get all giggly with myself when I feel that "girl power" rush...cuz I have a remote that Dude Man can't use.

Then I quickly snap back into reality say to myself "LORD HAVE MERCY WOMAN...have you forgotten your monthly Perfect 10?"
Please excuse my quick "Good-Bye", but I have got to get to Walgreen's hair care department...STAT!
Have a great day everyone!!!

The Bear Is Back
Back to school that is. :0)
That headache didn't budge till last night and this morning he was feeling a little groggy, but OK otherwise.
Here he is yesterday, laying at the edge of my bed, waiting patiently {OK,not so patiently} for me to get off the Photoshop and figure out how to end that headache.

Having both the Goober's gone today means that I have some catching up to do around here. I haven't checked my emails in oh, I don't know, days maybe?
As always...lots to do but I won't leave without wishing you all a really awesome day today!
TTYL!!

Wide Angle And A Bit Of Topaz
When Kolin woke up yesterday and had some chicken noodle soup and a PB&J sandwich and...get this, an ice cold water {it's has been since he hurt his tooth that he could drink cold water (or cold anything) out of the bottle}, most of the school day had already gone by, so I kept him home and for a few minutes before we had to take off and pick up Kody, we decided to have some magnifying glass/wide angle distortion fun.
Though, this didn't come out exactly like I had in mind...it still cracks me up anyway.

That kid is such a goof. LOL!
About his tooth. Oh gosh, well there is not a dentist that I know of in Florida that takes payments. They want the $$ right up front or they really have no problem turning you down.
Karlio's job offers medical benefits after a year, which doesn't do us much good right now...however, it will almost cost half his check every week and it doesn't include dental or eyeglasses and they will not put Kody on the plan. :0(
Meanwhile...Kody has limited insurance and Kolin has none at all. We are working on that though, so hopefully within the next couple of months that will change.
On a brighter note, did anyone watch the swine flu vaccination report on GMA this morning?
So...they are saying that when these flu shots come out in October/November {I believe medically needy people will get the October batch}, ALL school aged children from Kindergarten through college will be able to get FREE flu shots this year.
Pretty sweet, huh?
Now, I have no idea where they are given..but it sure would be sweet to send your kiddo/kiddo's off to school in the morning and have them shot {vaccinated..hehe} at some point before they get home.
Bear Bear is home today, medicated and trying his best to sleep off a headache that got him in school yesterday. He didn't complain not once and stayed the whole day anyway but by the time school let out, he was a mess. As soon as I spotted him walking through the main gate I knew he was not a feelin' a too good.
He is rockin' the cold rag on the forehead, dark room and complete quiet, so hopefully he will be able to shake it off at some point today.
Well my friends & family, that's about all I got for you this morning. I better get some stuff done around here while I can. Today is Wednesday, and Wednesday around here only means one thing...
School lets out early and my "Wild Child" will be here before I know it. :0)

Hardy Boyz
K&K are huge WWE fans. The Hardy's being their favorite. {which also explains the crazy but very cool arm things}
Now, I know a lot of you have no clue at all as to what I am talking about..let's just say for the record....
"It's a boy thing".
So, when Kolin had this bright idea a couple of days ago to do some "Hardy Boyz" pic's a/k/a Jeff and Matt Hardy, I though..."Yeah, OK by me".
The difference between them is so funny. Kolin being super serious all the time and Kody wanting to smile his life away.
LOL..love those two. :0)
Here's a few...

You wouldn't believe how many times I had to day, "Kolin...smile a little. Kody...stop smiling so much". LOL!
Whatever makes them happy, right?
I took Kolin for his tooth nerve treatment this morning. The procedure wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The ultimate cost will be beyond what I thought how bad it could get.
As the dentist was working on the tooth, a good size piece from the back fell right out, making this now a job more then what his pediatric dentist can do and now he will be in the care of an oral surgeon to finish the job and build that new tooth.
All to the mere {cough...cough} sum of approximately three grand, minimum.
So, while life continues to roll on for us and you too I hope, I figure it's time for me to jump off of here and go water that invisible, thriving, money tree growing in my back yard. You know the one my kids think we have. *shaking head and rolling eyes*
