Bear Prayers......

Just a quick update to let ya'all know that Kody ended up having a really rough day.

We had to cancel our photo magazine shoot due to something else but it ended up being a good thing because Bear wouldn't have been up to it anyway.
We'll try again on Monday {his 13th birthday!}.

Anywho's..he had some crazy personality changes throughout the whole day {never good}, lots and lots of tics {UGH..I hate those} and tonight after dinner he just crashed with a mega headache.
He's been medicated and we're keeping a real good eye on him, but if anyone out there can send some prayers his way...he and all of us would really love you for it. :0)

We're supposed to be at his school around 9 AM tomorrow to meet his teachers and get his schedule. I'm really hoping that he'll be OK for it. :0/

I won't stay on long tonight because it really has been a long day..I think we're all going to catch some ZZZZZ"s early tonight. {Kody already is}.

On a cuter note..

We found Kolin, for at least a half an hour, sitting next to Kody's bed, rubbing Kody's back and singing to him, until he fell asleep. It was darn near the most cutest thing we'd ever seen...it brought a tear to this Mama's eye. :0)
Those two are inseparable...they really are best friends {no matter what they say..LOL!!}.

Till tomorrow..have a great night everyone.

C.M. Kody Bear & Some Big News

A dinnertime conversation that really did happen two nights ago......

Kody: Dad, could you call me "C.M. Kody Bear" from now on?

Dad: What's the C.M. stand for?

***This said at the exact same time***

Kolin: COOKIE MONSTER!!!

Kody: CHICK MAGNET!!!

Yes..life is an adventure with those two. :0)

Sorry I didn't update yesterday...it was insane and the day just got away.

Today started out busy and will end busy. The in between shouldn't be too bad. Oh..who am I kidding? It'll be nuts too.

Later on this afternoon Kody and I have a mini photo shoot done by a local photographer for a magazine, which will be coming out very soon. We still need to complete the interview part.
It's going to be great and I want to tell ya'all sooo much about it right now, but I don't want to ruin a great surprise so I'll just leave you with this.

Kody's story ran in this particular magazine many, many years ago.
In preparation for a special edition issue, they've picked out a few stories, done over the past 10 years, that had an enormous impact on people.

Kody's was one of them. :0)

This gets even better, if you can believe it.

They want to use MY photos of Kody in the issue featuring his story.
Now..I have to admit, as cool as a cucumber as I tried to sound when they called and asked me for permission to use my photos..I was, in reality, happy dancing all over the kitchen!! :0)

Anywhos, when it's all said and done I'll let you know more. We are super stoked about this..well, I am anyway. C.M. Kody Bear? Well..he just takes anything concerning the "money maker" in stride.
I hate to break it to him..but his celebrity 15 minutes of fame is a freebie this time. :0)

I better get going and get a couple of packages off to the post office.

Leaving you with C.M. Kody Bear and his "money maker", taken yesterday during our few minutes of no rain....

FYI....the "Lensbaby" action used on the first photo was compliments of Action Central. {see side bar for link}.
It's another one of their awesome free actions for peeps much like myself who's wallets say "No lensbaby for you". :0)

Have a great day everyone!!!

Manly Stuff

After spending two whole days playing nothing but girlie girl games with Alona, we kinda figured the boys needed a break.
So, after Karl came home from work on Saturday, we decided to treat them to some manly man time which included fishing, which is very manly man, and something I am definitely not into, but for my boys..I'll deal with it.

Karl and I swapped out some ideas and after 5 minutes we let them in on our plan.

I'd pack a simple dinner of sandwiches, Doritos, soda and juice boxes while he ran out to Wally World to buy worms.
The boys had to get out of their swim trunks and put on something that remotely matched...cuz we all know that I was bringing the camera and I am oh sooooo compulsively crazy about matching clothing.
Kody walked out with tri-tone blue shorts and a brown t-shirt. Ummm...no.
I sent him back to try again.
Kolin came out with..big surprise...black shorts and a black tank top, his every summer day uniform.

We packed up the cooler, we packed up the fishing poles, the camera, a couple of celebrity bashing magazines for me, and a roll of paper towels...and we were off.

About halfway there Karl remembered putting the worms in the fridge but not in the cooler.
Back home we went.

Off we go, down the road again.

When we got there, all seemed great. It wasn't crowded, we got a picnic table in the shade. Life was good.

Good..until we realized that nobody {Love You Kolin} put the tackle box in the van.
Luckily...they had one hook on their poles.
Unluckily..Kody lost his after 20 minutes.

All in all, they had a great night and not having to pretend to love bouncing around like Tinkerbell's Prince Charming was a really good thing for them..cuz they are all about the 100% boy thing.

Here's some quick snaps from Saturday's fishing day....

Because when I get bored, I tend to wander, I roamed around and found me some wildlife that was willing to pose....

Looky here, I found a gator swimming right next to my children....

Everyone had a good time and when the mosquito's started attacking, we packed up and headed home.
But first...because I was such a good sport in all of this man fishing, wormy stuff, we stopped off at Sonic and got us some 99 cent Jr. Banana Splits and lemme tell ya, they were delishable!!

Have a beautiful day everyone..take advantage of this last week of summer vacation. Take your kid to Sonics for a naner split, seriously..they'll love you forever and you may even get them to clean out from under their beds. :0)

Happy Sunday!!

Just stopping by to say "HEY EVERYONE!!"

Kaysha , the boys and I are off to get some back to school supply shopping done in a few minutes.
As you can imagine...the boys are sooo not into this.
Kolin could care less about a new outfit and Kody..LOL..it's all about the "Dress To Impress" a/k/a girls....girls....girls.

I didn't have a minute to get some more Alona pic's done {but I will Miss Christie because she is in love with that tutu}.
I have a boatload of pics from yesterdays fishing day but they still live in the camera..waiting to be put up on the blog.
All's I have today are just some of the Kolinater.

This is probably one of the last pic's of the summer we'll see him happy..

You want me tah go tah school? You talkin' to me? You ain't talkin' to me, I know you ain't talkin' tah me"

Have a great day everyone!!!!!

Guess Who Came To Visit For A Couple Days?

The one and only, going to be a first grader in nine days, super cool, oh so sweet, Miss Thang...

Alona!!!

Stinker Winker, Punkin' head is also the reason why I never had much time to get on the computer , cuz I was way busy playing "Princess Dresses, Cannonball Lessons, Crafty Art Projects and about a trillion other things girlie.

Having to young boys left at home...I really do miss the girlie things. :0)

See that "Tutu" she's wearing? Well..no joke, she didn't take that thing off all day except to go swimming.
She swirled, she twirled, she was Tinkerbell, a butterfly and a fairy all day.
She loved it so much she's requested one in every color imaginable. :0)

You know...given whats going on in the news about missing 3 yr old today, Caylee Anthony from Orlando Florida {it's been on every news channel everywhere} and seeing what her grandparents are going through, spending thi stime with Alona was made even more special.
Every minute of these past couple of days was so sweet.

I learned that there is never enough time with the ones you love.
I learned how to draw butterflies the right way.
I learned purple hearts with pink polka dots are the coolest.
I learned a few Hanna Montana songs.
I learned that I'm the "Pweetiest Nana in the world."
I learned that ice cream with lunch is better then carrots and ranch dressing on the side.

One thing I didn't have to learn though, is that a grandparents love is unconditional and forever. That I would do anything in the world to see that my babies are happy.
I knew these things all along.

Some things that Alona learned are...

The order of the colors of the rainbow {ROY G. BIV..Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet}
Kolin and Kody don't hide real well in hide and go seek.
If Kody gets stuck under his bed, tickle his feet and he'll get out.
Kolin rocks at teaching swimming stunts.
Dive sticks make fun babies, no matter how many times boys may say "They are NOT babies!"
Grampa's give the best hugs and bring home to yummiest sandwiches for lunch.
Kaysha has cool nail polish colors.

Have a beautiful weekend everyone!!

I'm off to photograph some hats I made while waiting for a yarn delivery that finally arrived yesterday.
Jamie and Christine..your hats are in the making!! :0)

Love, Kim

PS. Lots more pic's to come. :0)
